F – für (for, in favor of)
Die E-Mail ist für meinen Vater.
(The E-Mail is for my father.)
Ich bin für den Plan.
(I am in favor of the plan.)
U – um (about, around, at)
Ich gehe in den Supermarkt um die Ecke.
(I am going to the Supermarket around the corner.)
Wir beginnen um 12 Uhr.
(We will begin at 12 o’clock.)
B – bis (till, to)
Wir warten bis morgen.
(We will wait until tomorrow. )
Schreiben Sie eins bis zehn!
(Write one to ten.)
E – entlang (along)
Wir fahren den Fluss entlang. (Noun comes before the preposition)
(We are driving along the river.)
D – durch (through)
Ich gehe durch den Park.
(I am going through the park. )
O – ohne (without)
Ich trinke Kaffee ohne Zucker.
(I drink coffee without sugar.)
G – gegen (against, not in favour of)
Er ist gegen einen Baum gefahren.
(He hit a tree.)
Ich bin gegen den Plan.
(I am against the plan.)
